TO OUR COMMUNITY:
The Fred & Harriett Taylor Memorial Library has been a vital community resource for Hammondsport, Urbana, and Wayne for 150 years, providing materials, programming, and support. We strive to remain sustainable for at least another 150 years. As we have carefully evaluated the rising costs for staff, building & grounds maintenance, programs, materials, and more, it is glaringly apparent that we need to request an increase in our budget. We are one of only a few libraries not currently funded through facilitation of the school budget, launching the campaign at this point is a matter of equity. This budget adjustment will sustain our library and allow us to continue to be the community center we are. We look forward to offering new, innovative programs and opportunities for all of you!
